Born in New Orleans June 1805, Myra Clark was a litigant in a series of law suits and countersuits that spanned nearly sixty years and have been the subject of much study. A case in which confirmation of her claim as the only legitimate child of Daniel Clark and Zulime Carriere would have made her heir to a vast fortune in money and real estate in New Orleans and the Mississippi Valley.
